Artie Lange has gone from a hilarious guy on the talk-show circuit to a guy who's pitied by the likes of me. I thought his most recent appearance on Conan O'Brien was shockingly sad, but last night's Donny Deutsch is even more upsetting. The segment consists of Donny trying to get through to Artie that he should be healthy, followed by a taste test trying to pick out his Crumbs-Bakery Artie-Lange cupcake. I guess he must be so torn up about screwing up the LIFEbeat charity/Crumbs Bakery AIDS contributions with his homophobic rants that he made sure to give Crumbs a little love on the show. There was no mention of being disassociated from the charity. Watch and wonder what's going to be of this lovable guy.
